The show includes other Chicago area talent like Photographers, The Down Feathers, Kellen & Me, Evan Holmes & Exit Ghost and is presented by Chicago.com/music.

In an effort to promote local music, Lindsey Wilson created Chicago.com/music. The site provides a new opportunity for local bands to promote themselves as Wilson puts together monthly musical showcases at the LaSalle Power Co., located at 500 North LaSalle. “I think it’s a shame that there’s such a focus on getting touring bands when we have such great talent here in Chicago,” says Wilson. “There shouldn’t be outsourcing. I try to focus primarily on the personal contacts I make. I book the bands that sign up on our Web site. We try to book all local talent. We have such talented bands, and the big venues don’t give them the time of day. These bands need a site to support them and get behind them.”
